These 5 books look great together - no matter what way you stack them.

Their black and moss green colors were matched to be coordinated...but are different enough to look "thrown together" and not too matchy-matchy.

They are all from the late 1800s to the early 1900s and are guaranteed original. I did not distress these books; time has taken its toll on them naturally with wonderful results. Trust us...they are really messy (in a good way, of course) and the bindings are almost all torn or split or incredibly tattered. They stack nicely, but just know that they truely are distressed...

The largest book is from the late 1880's and is a volume of Atlantic Monthly articles. The next is a U.S. History book from the early 1900's. There are 2 English books (grammer, spelling, writing...you get the idea) and one copy of the prologue to Chaucer's Canterbury tales. The most recent book in the collection is dated 1939.

Shabby, rustic, dusty and tattered...this collection will give you that Pottery Barn/ Restoration Hardware/ Anthropolgie designer look in your home...and they aren't mass produced.
