I love how this new lampwork focal bead shape from my Tide Pool / Beachcomber series turned out! I created this large tubular bead using an unusual blue-green transparent glass as the base, which has tiny seed bubbles and mica flakes in it that make it appear as if it's really underwater. I added long strands of waving seaweed with three little starfish in various shades of coral and red dancing around the middle, and capped both ends with a bumpy "coral reef." The starfish are also decorated with colorful dots that have been left slightly raised for added dimensional effect.

* Focal Bead: approx. 44mm (or 1.75") tall and 17.5mm around (at highest point of raised areas)
* Wound on a 5/64" mandrel

NOTE: I have done my best to represent this bead's appearance as accurately as possible, but please be aware that colors may appear differently under various monitors and lighting conditions.

These lampwork beads were handmade by me, Lori Bergmann, in my studio in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. They are immediately annealed in a digitally-controlled kiln for durability and strength, and thoroughly cleaned.
