Good evening, Darklings! For your consideration I have for sale a custom reproduction of one of the iconic gowns created for the character Madeleine in the movie, Interview with the Vampire. It is not a *perfect* reproduction, but my own take on the gown, and by no means is it THE movie gown, nor do I seek to represent it as such. Hours of time, study and research were put into making this gown as perfect as possible, and authentic Victorian designs were implemented in the construction process in order to keep it "period". This 3 piece ensemble is created entirely of emerald green bengaline (or faille), with hand made trims and ruffles and tons of beautiful venise lace. It is considered a "sample" piece as it was created to be photographed for an upcoming feature yet to be released to the public. It has been worn once to be modeled and is in perfect condition. The underskirt has side button ties and fits a 25 inch waist to a 28 inch waist and exhibits beautiful ruching in the front along with two layers of of handmade ruffled trim. The bustled overskirt has a side closure and the same dimensions as the underskirt at the waistline, and is adorned with the same trim as the underskirt. This item self bustles and so it's not necessary to wear a bustle underneath it. The bodice is made to the following measurements: bust 36, waist 24, hips 34 and is heavily steel boned and corseted. It closes by lacing up in the back and can be used for waist reduction, like a corset. There is a privacy panel in the back as well, so there is a little leeway regarding the sizing, it can be wore a bit bigger if need be. The bodice is also finished off with rich venise and accented with jet Swarovsky crystals. This gown full price is $850.00. I am asking $600 for this item. I will also consider any and all offers. This is NOT costume quality. This gown is CLOTHING quality, made to last and be worn more than once. This is a big, heavy, gorgeous gown and worth every cent spent on it!
