Lovely bouncy wool top! So bouncy it is a hard job getting it to stay in a bag to send off!

The bounce stays with it when spun and makes a lovely yarn. I have also been told if felts beautifully too.

I hand-dyed it with acid dyes, in a technique known (here in the UK) as space-dyeing, colours poured across the tops in stripes and steamed to set.

The tops are 23 micron Falklands fleece, the wool was grown on Dunnose Head Farm in the Falklands and processed here in the UK.

This colourway I called Red Red Wine, rich luscious reds, all the way from a deep burgundy to soft delicate rosè.

The colour sequence repeats about every yard, so you can vary the colour effects as you spin. Spin just as it comes for long sections of colour, or split the top down and pre-draft for shorter colour bursts. Then you have the further option of plying it back on itself to mingle the colours, or navajo ply to keep them distinct.

I have included several pictures, to try and give a good idea of the colour, but I can't guarantee that it will look exactly the same on your screen as it does on mine!

So this listing is for a bag of Red Red Wine dyed tops weighing approx 200g.

Any questions, please get in touch - I'm always happy to answer!

Thanks for looking!
