'Storm in a Teacup' pendant is made with a genuine piece of sea pottery I discovered on a Dublin beach. The Irish Sea has done a fine job of smoothing it naturally. Sea pottery found in this area is often well over 100 years old, especially when it is as buffed as this beautiful specimen.
The white pottery has a brown pattern. Though long term exposure to the sea has polished some of it away, it seems to be a flower and leaf design.
I wire wrapped it with silver plated copper wire in a freestyle pattern that is neat and secure. The swirl represents the motion of a stormy sea.
The (optional) brown crochet chain was made by fellow-Irish Etsonian, Mo of Huggleknits. It is hypoallergenic cotton that is comfortable, durable and easy to clean. Instead of a clasp, it has a cute brown button, making it really handy to throw on in a hurry.
'Storm in a Teacup' sea pottery pendant is recycled treasure from the Irish Sea.
