I love the cover of this book. With a sweet silhouette of two children walking to school, this vintage primer would look great displayed face out on a shelf.

Published in 1936 by The John C. Winston Company, this book was written by Ethel Maltby Gehres. It is chock full of B&W photographs from real life by Ralph M. Bair. These pictures give a comprehensive view of what life was like for children back in the 1930s — it shows time spent in school, at home, with friends, neighbors and family. These shots are such fun!

This book has large, easy to read print, 154 pages and six sections: School Days; Jay the Paper Boy; Getting Ready for Winter; A Day with Joe and Bill; Going to Market; and At the Zoo. It is in fair condition with wear, creases, tanning, cut off endpapers, and school names stamped inside.

Please note that for U.S. buyers, this item will ship via Media Mail.
