ever so dainty and sweet, this darling vintage dance purse hails from the 1920s-30s ~

it's made of silver-colored metal with a lovely guilloche enamel rose on the front. Both the front and back are engraved with a Deco-era geometric design, pinstripes & arrows on the front and interlocking diamonds on the back. Each of the squared off corners has a decorative repoussé piece, and the top has a little chain strap to slide over your wrist.

Inside you'll find a little mirror next to a flip-lock compartment that still has some very bright pink blush and a tiny oval applicator pad. Opposite of that is some face powder with a light pink hue. This pale ivory 'tea rose' color was very popular in the 20s & 30s since it helped to impart a youthful glow. Just like the rouge, most of the powder is still there.

As far as condition goes, if you look closely you'll see several fine scratches on the silver finish and a tiny dent on the back with a little dark speck. I've shown this in the 4th picture, but it was hard to photograph because of the reflection so I've included pictures from a few different angles and you can click on them for a super close-up look.. The inside is a bit powdery, and the mirror shows its age too. I haven't polished or cleaned this since I know some collectors prefer the authentic patina. The guilloche rose is in wonderful condition with no cracks or apparent wear. So all in all, it's in marvelous condition for its age...so pretty and perfectly lovely ♥

measures 2.25" x 1 7/8" (approximately 14.5 x 16cm)...the little chain has a 4.75" drop ~
