When the TV show “Connections” was broadcast in 1979 people were absolutely riveted to their TV sets. This was the companion book to the television series. It walks through the often amazing connections and coincidences that culminated in the major technological achievements that changed our world. It’s just fascinating as it traces the steps that led to a chosen 8 major inventions of the technological age, the computer, the production line, telecommunications, the airplane, the atomic bomb, plastics, the guided rocket and television. Mr. Burke makes the point that these are the innovations that permanently altered civilization and man’s relationship to nature.

A fairly large book, 7.75 x 10.25, with many illustrations. You can tell that it's been around awhile, but is in excellent condition. The dust jacket is a little curled on the bottom front and there is a long scratch on the back, but it is not torn; the price has been clipped off. Under the dust jacket the brown cloth cover looks like new. All 324 pages are present, tight and clean, there are no tears.

I will gladly ship internationally and will provide a shipping price to your location upon request.
