Wonderful antique The Wright 12" general store paper dispenser and cutter. Cast iron legs and cutter arm with embossed "THE WRIGHT" on front. No other identification marks. Wooden top with holes for attaching spool of string (not included).

Has a beautiful worn patina and surface rust on the cast iron (which is VERY heavy). PLEASE NOTE: I've added a small felt pad "spacer" under the right side of the wooden top - this has leveled the cast iron leg piece so that it can sit on a flat surface without wobbling back and forth. Also, there is a damaged corner in the same area (see photo one)

Dimensions: 17" wide x 12" high x 6 1/2" deep

ADDED BONUS: Comes with an original spool of paper and dowel rod!!! This is a lightweight craft paper with a fine, ridged embossed stripe...just beautiful. I'm not certain how much is still on the spool, but it looks like a decent amount. Keep it on the spool or use it as you wish.

These were common to every general store, mercantile or trading post in the olden days, and can still find a place in today's kitchen...and yes, as shown in photo five, a roll of modern paper towels fits quite nicely!
