This historical book is beautifully done. It is filled with information about the history of quilting and textiles in the state of North Carolina. This book features beautiful, full color photos of more than 100 quilts made between the early 19th century and 1976. It also includes many photos of the quilt makers and their families. This book was produced as part of the North Carolina Quilt Project. I have read this book myself and am only selling it because I have two copies. It's a keeper.

Chapters in this book include "Making Do", Chintz Applique Quilts, Garden Variety Applique, Pieced and Plentiful, Warming Hearts and Raising Funds, Crazy Quilts: Quiet Protest, and Quilted Treasures. This book includes notes, an index, author information, and an extensive bibliography.

Softcover book in good condition. 214 information packed pages. A great historical quilting reference.
