This is a high-quality giclee print of a very rare British postcard showing William Gillette (1853-1937) in his famous role as Sherlock Holmes, which he first played in 1899. In this sepia-toned 5x7-inch image, he is wearing a dressing gown and holding the calabash pipe that he introduced to the Holmes character. A wonderful addition to any Sherlockian collection.

This print is carefully made with 100-year inks that will outlast us all. Your image won't have the watermark, of course!! On the finest Strathmore 8x10-inch watercolor paper, it is ready for the frame of your choice. I show an image of the print with a dark green mat (I like British Racing Green!), but mat is not included. Lovingly packed and shipped via Priority Mail with insurance.
