Hand-tinted 1890s collotype postcard: Girls of No. 9 House at Yokohama, photo attributed to Reiji Esaki.

A canceled stamp (Kioto Japan, possibly 1911) in upper right corner, but back is unused. Type on front reads “(Y94) Girls of No. 9 House at Yokohama, Japanese script, & a dragonfly trademark in lower right corner.

In very good vintage condition – no writing, tears or creases; just some very light bumping to the corners, and general edgewear.

Measures 3 7/16” by 5 7/16” [8.8cm by 13.8cm].
