Beautiful pressed glass cake stand in bright blue in the 'Thousand Eye' pattern, made by Adams Glass Co. in the 1870s. EAPG (early American pattern glass) cake stands such as this one were made in many patterns and colors. Now over 100 years old, they make a great way to display or wedding cake or other baked goods.

Measures 6 3/8 inches high, 10 1/8 inches diameter overall, just under 8 1/4 inches diameter of usable plate space, should accommodate an 8 inch round cake. Unmarked.

Glass from this period is more than 100 years old and sometimes has tiny flaws such as bubbles, inclusions, fold lines and other irregularities in the glass--these are perfectly normal and expected issues that occurred in the making of the piece. You can also expect utensil marks on the top of the plate from use.

Overall condition is good, with no cracks or repairs. There are a few tiny chips to the inside lip on the underside of the foot. There is a fold line in the glass on the underside of the plate, visible at the center. The plate sits centered and level on the pedestal foot.

** I love cake stands and always try to have a few in my shop--check back often! If you don't see what you want, please contact me and I will do my best to help you find just the right piece. **

I also have this pattern in amber glass, as you see in the last image. To see it and other cake stands in my shop, click here to see:
