I rescued this nice little wooden shelf from a terrible fate and upcycled it into a cute addition for a kid's room.

Painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Duck Egg Blue, it's fresh and fun. The inside back of the unit is decoupaged with pages from a 1952 "Fun with John and Jean" New Cathedral Basic Reader. The top of the unit is embellished with Scrabble tiles that read, "Go Play."

Shelf can stand atop a dresser or credenza or it can be hung on the wall. The back has two "teeth" hangers for hanging.

The unit appears to have been handmade. Because it was handmade and reclaimed, it contains tiny character flaws that have been mitigated with the fresh coat of paint. The restored version is in great condition.

Measures 15w x 20h x 3 1/4d.
