Vintage Globe "Bank of the World" Tin Coin Bank - late 1950s

In all of my years collecting and searching I have found very few of these great banks. They appear to be few and far between unlike others of which there are many!!

This is a great little tin globe that has "Bank of the World" written on its base. Also on the base are an airplane and and a steamship. Both of which were the modes of travel way back when.

Russia is listed as the "Union of Soviet" and the USA is listed as "North American, United States", and Persia is also listed!!

The bank is 3.5" high and 3" across the base. As an added bonus there is a compass on the top of this bank which appears to be working!! And this little gem still has it's original stopper and original key!

The bank is in excellent condition with all the colors being bright and vivid!! There has been little to no fading and no dents that I could find. There are a few scattered very small scratches but nothing that detracts from the look of this great globe! And as I stated earlier this bank has it's original stopper and the key to open it!

This would be a great gift for the collector or just a fun way to introduce a chilld to the delights of banks and the fun of World Globes!!!

As always, ENJOY!!!
