Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
All prices are in U.S. dollars.

Payment is due immediately upon purchase. If for some reason you cannot pay immediately, please contact me prior to purchase and I will do my best to work something out.

My preferred method of payment is PayPal. Please be sure that your PayPal address is correct before purchase as this is the address I will ship to. If you don't have a PayPal account, please go to the address below to set one up. It's really simple and secure and it allows you to pay with either a bank account or credit card.
www.paypal.com

I will only accept a personal check/money order if you "convo" me within 24 hours of your purchase to let me know that you will be paying with one of those methods. I will then "convo" my address to you. Be aware that, if you pay by check, I will not send your item until the check has cleared, which could be as much as ten days after deposit. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

I also accept custom design requests. Once a design has been decided upon, I will require a down payment of half of the agreed upon price PRIOR to beginning work on the piece. The balance will be due upon completion, before the work is sent.
Thank you so much, in advance, for your understanding.

Returns & exchanges

RETURNS

Because I am making each piece of jewelry to order, I generally do not accept returns. I review returns on a case by case basis and will only consider accepting a piece for return that was found to not be as advertised. I do my best to photograph and describe each piece fully to avoid this situation.

Please note: because all of the work is hand done by me, each finished piece will vary slightly, but will be equally beautiful.

RE-SIZING RINGS

I do not re-size rings. Because my rings all include vintage glass, gemstones or an organic carving, they cannot withstand the heat involved in re-sizing. They would have to be totally remade. So, please know your ring size prior to ordering.

REPAIRS

Each piece of jewelry is gift wrapped and well packaged for transit and should arrive in perfect condition. Please contact me within two business days if your purchases are found to be otherwise. Items will be accepted for repair only if they are damaged in transit. Items must be returned in unworn condition, within seven days of contacting me. Most repairs are free of charge. Contact me for an estimate. Buyer responsible for all shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Shipping policies

Domestic (U.S.) orders will be shipped via USPS priority mail and international orders will be shipped USPS Express in a flat rate box/envelope. If you are ordering internationally, it is your responsibility to pay the proper customs, taxes, etc...

To keep cost down, insurance is not included in the shipping price. If you would like your package insured, contact me for additional charges. I do not refund items lost or damaged by the post office.

Since I make most things as they are ordered, please allow (in most cases) one week for shipping for earrings and necklaces and as much as three weeks for rings. If you need an item sooner, please "convo" me and I will do my absolute best to make arrangements to get it to you sooner.

Additional policies

CARE OF HANDMADE JEWELRY

Hand-made, vintage glass and gemstone jewelry may be delicate and should be handled with care. Vintage glass and gemstone jewelry should never be placed in an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner and should be kept away from harsh cleaners and chemicals. This includes make-up and hair products. A silver polishing cloth or soft damp cloth should be used when necessary. Following these hints should keep your jewelry beautiful for years to come.

FINDINGS AND GEMSTONES

At JAS I make it a priority to seek out and/or create findings for my jewelry that are unique. I feel this enhances the texture and beauty of every piece. Occasionally, I find it necessary to make minute substitutions in the findings that I use. This is based upon availability of materials and will not affect the overall appearance of the piece.
There may be slight variances in the carving, cut, or color of a gemstone according to market availability.

CUSTOM ORDERS

Most items in this store, especially those made primarily from gemstones, can be made in many other colors. The same applies to metals. For example, if you see something you like in sterling silver, but would like it in gold-filled I will do my best to accommodate you. Currently rings are only made in sterling silver. Custom orders are always welcome. Just "convo" me and we will work it out.

WHY GOLD-FILLED?

Gold-filled is NOT the same thing as gold plated. Gold-filled is a solid, 14k-gold, thick outer shell that, to keep it's cost down, is filled with a secondary metal such as brass. It can be soldered, forged and shaped just as gold can. It resists tarnish and wears beautifully for a lifetime, just like gold. With the price of gold climbing daily I find it most economical to use gold-filled. The use of gold would increase my price point considerably. Gold-filled allows you to have the beauty and durability of gold without the cost.
