When I first started researching period portraits to discover what styles of jewelry were worn during the Regency/Georgian era, I was surprised by how often tear drop shaped pearls appeared! Queen Charlotte (wife of George III-- portrait 1,2) and Josephine, Empress of France (portrait 3), seemed especially fond of the style. I began looking for teardrop pearls and discovered that they were hard to find!

I've finally been able to get some, however, and have paired them here with Swarovski Crystal rondelles to create a sparkling dangling pair in the style of the Queens of the Regency. These are stunners and sure to add that special touch of "Austenticity" to any ensemble.

Pearls measure 18x13mm and hang from lever back findings for extra security. Also available in clip style. Please specify when ordering as default will be pierced.
