This is an awesome Revere Model 88 Movie Camera that I have cleaned up, but I have no way of testing.

I have cleaned up the camera and lens with rubbing alcohol and a whole lot of Q-tips and cotton balls. This camera is in good condition. It looks to made out of cast metal and it is extremely heavy. It has a small strap to it that is also in very good condition, though I am afraid to hold that camera from it due to it's weight. All of the parts seem to be moving and nothing seems to be broken. This would make an excellent display piece or look good on your book shelf.

This comes with a very nice leather case, that is in ok condition. The strap is alittle cracked and worn, and one side of the case looks to be coming apart at one of the seams, but could easily be repaired with glue. I did manage to buff it with some saddle soap and it is nice and supple no.

Camera History:

This movie camera was produced in 1940. When it was introduced on the market, Samuel Briskin wanted to sell a product that was similar like the "Bell&Howell Companion", yet sold for just about half the price. It is equipped with a lens Wollensak Revere 12,5 mm, f:3.5, Velostigmat. The housing is made by metal and its color is brown. Its weight is kg. 0.900 its size is 58x127x110 mm.
