Underwood. Another name for the forest floor.
This basket has been hand coiled in a collection of woodland colors.
Sage green has been combined with rich wine and flecks of brown.
The front has been finished with a hanging pottery leaf and embellished further with a real acorn top.

This medium, tote shaped bucket measures 10 inches in diameter.
Its basin sits about 5 inches tall.
The overhead fixed handle is wire with a wooden grip.
Complete with the handle, it sits 9.5 inches tall overall.

This is a handy size for storage in the bath, bedroom or kitchen. It is also perfect for gift giving. You might think of filling it with soaps, perfumes, gourmet chocolates, jam
or rolled up linens for the ultimate in gift giving.

My baskets are made by the coiling method of basketry. Strips of fabric (both new and recycled) are wrapped around an inner cording as the shape is formed. The inner cording makes them sturdy. Each one is entirely handmade with no machine stitching.
Each one is unique.
