The multicolored Kachin Necklace is an act of love shared by our little community. Each artisan wraps dozens of small hoops in just two colors, then they gather together to trade colors. When she's finished, the artisan who assembles the necklaces has all of the colors she needs so that each necklace has eight hoops in corals, blues and metallic neutrals.

Their shared teamwork is a testimony to the strength of this group of amazing women. The artisan pictured above assembled this necklace. Purchasing this piece allows her to help her family by earning income and stay connected to her culture through our jewelry-making meetings.

The multicolored Kachin necklace is made of small and medium hoops wrapped in eight different colors of nylon thread: poppy, silver, jade, teal, coral, tan, gold, cream and navy blue. The gold-toned brass chain measures 32".

Clothes in model shots furnished by Raven + Lily. To purchase, visit www.ravenandlily.com.

Since all of Hill Country Hill Tribers products are produced by hand, each piece is unique and may contain imperfections that add to its character. To learn more about the education and economic development work of Hill Country Hill Tribers, visit www.hilltribers.org.
