Here is an antique box which was made and offered for a special occasion : a birth of a little girl called Geneviève. This box was from a french "confiseur" and used to contain sugared almonds offered to friends and family as a souvenir, it's a french traditional custom.
The name of the little girl "Geneviève" is handwritten on the box on the printed sepia drawing of the baby with her mother.
The french "confiseur" was Charles Bohu, Nantes. It's from the 1920s.
The paper is pleated all around.

It's in very good condition for its age, except a tear in the paper of the bottom part (see last photo). No stain.

4 1/2" in diameter and and 1" high when closed
