Add a punch of colour to your favourite room with this handblown glass tripod vase. Measuring 9" in height by 4.75" in diameter, this quirky vase sits on three little feet. It makes a cheerful and unique gift, although it might be hard to resist keeping it for yourself!

As a stand alone piece or in a grouping, this tripod vase will be a colourful focal point in your decor. It can be used purely for decoration, or to hold a single stem or bouquet of fresh flowers. Great for entertaining,use it as a pitcher to hold water or (even better) wine at the table.

{ About the Tripod Series }
Tripod vases are all free blown, without the aid of a mold. This means that each one is individual and has its own personality. Using carefully selected bold contrasting colours, I designed the Tripod Series to be bright and playful, with a slightly askew stance.

{ About the Process }
Glassblowing is an incredible process and I am lucky enough to make my living doing what I love. Working with molten glass is a fluid process; I am unable to touch the glass with my hands while working with it. I rely on tools, heat, motion and gravity to shape the glass, all the while making split second decisions about its aesthetic outcome. Ask any glassblower and they will tell you there is something addictive about hot glass... it's the combination of intense heat and the fluidity and sometimes unpredictability of the medium.

{ About Handmade }
It's fun to own beautiful things, and there is significant value in owning an object designed and made by an artist. The look and the feel of handcrafted objects enhances our interaction with them. I design my pieces with the idea of functionality as well as aesthetics... looking at a glass object is one thing, but using it and interacting with it is another thing completely. It becomes intertwined in our lives... there is something inherently special about using a handmade object.
