Antique handmade child's moccasins from the late 19th century (1880s - 1890s). Native American, identified as northeastern Iroquois most likely. Soft soles, puckering around the toe, wide vamps, foldover cuffs. The leather is a soft, velvety gray suede (possibly deerskin), decorated with swirls of tiny little stitches in blue and white thread. Fully lined in red fabric. Silk pink ties.

5.5" x 2.25"

The shaping of the soles (you can see the roundness of heels) reveals that these were actually worn, but they are in very good condition. Some of the stitching on the corner of one of the cuffs is loose, but the hide is intact with no holes or rips. Full of time and character, these little beauties.

Sale / antique native american moccasins. handmade child's moccasins, 1880s - 1890s. Iroquois northeastern tribal style. Grey, red.
