Wedding quilts traditionally have intertwined shapes that represent the joining of matrimony. This little lap quilt is a beautiful example of this tradition. Its small size lends it to many decorative uses. It could be a centerpiece on a table, hung on a wall, or adorn a chair.

The double infinity circle wedding lap quilt pattern is a wholecloth quilt pattern with 4 large ovals sewn to the solid white background. The inner pieces of the ovals are cut out carefully and repositioned in the center of the shape. Each oval and center of the oval has a white flannel shape behind it to give dimension.

The appliques are sewn with the fabric edges raw, exposed. They are designed to fray to the stitches, giving a textured, unaffected look to the quilt. The appliques and the quilting are done at the same time. The binding is double fold.

Every step in this quilt was planned to create the most beautiful quilt possible in the most efficient way possible.
