These are the eye-catching pieces I have been selling at the world famous Philadelphia Flower show for over 20 years.

It's been a real privilege to expand my Etsy store and make the line even fresher and more interesting. I will continue to do so, thanks to my wonderful Etsy customers.

Real Rose Maple Leaves (Rosa) are preserved in 24K gold and attached to my new wires. They are simple wires, gold plated over surgical steel. Many people find themselves to be less sensitive to these wires. The Rose speaks for itself. Besides many fancy cultivars, roses are sturdy landscape shrubs and attractive to wildlife. They also provide rose hips, which contain vitamin C.

Most people don't reveal how these are made, so I'll take the time to give you the lowdown. First, the leaves are RESPONSIBLY gathered and not allowed to dry out. Instead, they start the preservation process by being acid bathed, which removes the soft part of the leaf, leaving the woody veins and stem. (No, sorry, the bugs didn't eat them!). Once that's done, a jewelry bale is attached and the leaf is carefully coated with another hardener and put in a copper bath and coating. Then, the leaves are then coated in the final precious metal, which is permanently bonded to the natural leaf. (Precious metals, depending on leaf, are 24K gold, sterling silver, Rose gold, copper).

I have also introduced innovative Patinas to add to the color of my line. In all cases, the leaf is first preserved in one of the precious metals. Then, depending on the color and process, a patina is done to colorize the leaf permanently. For Rose Gold patinas, I use my own innovative process to give the gold leaves a pink/red look. For the blue patinas, a special oxidizing process is done to create a deep blue effect. I also patina silver leaves to make them look pewter, or "aged." The leaves shown in the photo are 24K gold plated, but I will also be adding photos of leaves done in a Rose Gold Patina. They will have rose gold plated spring wires unless the wires shown here are requested.

These leaves are on the medium-small side: most are about 1- 1 1/2" in length.(Keep in mind this is a natural product, so there will be some variations). They come with my anti-allergy wires, but there are other choices (see chart). Please convo me if you want something else.

Leaves can also be made as necklaces and stickpins, wine charms, or bookmarks. I offer Bridal/wedding sets, or can customize to your specs (i.e. number of leaves, different colors, etc.). For a Rose Garden themed wedding, these would be positively GORGEOUS.

I usually get things out in a day.

The earrings come with a small glossy white pillow-type gift box (recyclable), along with a nice color printed (greens) card with a brief explanation of the plating process. If it's a gift, let me know and I will include your name. I don't include a receipt (other than a friendly note) with any shipment.

II am currently featuring these new Gold Wires, although I do carry copper, silver, rose gold patina, lapis, and other colored metal leaf earrings.

I can also do custom earrings (doubles, etc.) or mix and match species (i.e. birch and aspen, birch and oak, etc.).
