This postcard was in my great uncle's belongings. I found it in a box of items that he brought home from France during his time there in WWI.

A postcard love note. The writing is lovely. No postmark or stamp. Typical postcard size. Shabby edge wear. Missing corners where it was pinned up. Some age and stain marks. This was in a group of cards that I am listing this week, so more will follow! Keep checking back in my shop. Markings look like possible coffee stains, and possibly a bullet hole through it. (Yes, scary!) The other cards have a hole in the same place, making me think bullet hole. They were all stacked together when I removed them from the box my uncle had. You can see the other postcards I have listed in my shop. (Many have sold). They were obviously treasured items, maybr carried with them to read over and over, reminding him of someone at home waiting for him. Maybe this card helped him keep his nerve in the trenches.
