Darling antique Victorian double-sided fob--pictures do not do this sweet piece justice. This wonderful little treasure is a figural piece in the shape of a padlock (not an actual lock). It features a darling engraved design on front with embossed dotted details and a tiny skeleton key etched into the center, how neat! The other side has a tiger's eye stone in the center and the same dotted detailing. It measures 1-1/6 inches x 3/4 inch x 1/4 inch (27mm x 20mm x 6mm) and is solid (not hollow) with a nice heft to it. It appears to be a gold filled piece, not much gold left as you can see. Plate/surface wear and discoloration to the metal have given the piece a lovely timeworn patina. A bit of verdigris as well. Some light surface and edge wear on the tiger's eye stone. Sweet old fob to be treasured!
