I found this ring shank at a recent jewelry and gem show, where they sold rings like this with cheap center stones. I busted out the blue topaz that was in there and replaced it with a gorgeous emerald. The stone weighs about 1.2 carats and measures 9x6.5mm. It is Colombian in origin, from old stock, and has never been treated. Some light oil may have been used for storage, that is all. The gem does have some window - I photographed it so you could see it. Many emeralds are cut very deep for color retention but this ring would only take a flat stone so I had to make due. The color is amazing though.

The ring is 14K rose gold. It's relativly lightweight (a little under 2 grams), otherwise it would cost a lot more. The diamonds are teeny, they're single cuts, but still make for some bling accents. But this also makes this ring a lot less expensive. They add extra sparkle to the design and make the ring look very prominent on your hand.

This ring is fairly high (look at the side view), so it would nicely fit next to a wedding ring. This would be a perfect engagement or friendship present.

The ring is a size 7. I can change the size a little (maybe one size each way, downsizing is easier of course). Sizing is free.
