This lovely pair of earring hangs about 2” down. They are composed of surgical steel earring with a rubber stopper, paper cranes, and a semi precious gemstone. The paper cranes are sprayed with a waterproof coat to both strengthen and protect them.

Each crane is about 1 ½” long and is made of Chiyogami, which is a type of silk-screened Japanese paper that derived form woodblock painting in the late 18th century. The prints and patterns resemble kimono prints and are symbols of happiness, long life, and good fortune.

Fancy jasper is mostly off white to beige with swirls of green, pink, lavender, and gray. It is said to rid the wearer of depression and stop over analyzing. It also increases the enjoyment of life and gentleness.

Yellow Jasper is as the name suggests a soft yellow colour. This jasper is said to protect travelers.
