A limited edition screen print of 122. Each print is signed, numbered and dated on the front.

Part of a little series I'm doing using Australian imagery and stories, this print is based on the explorations of William Dampier. Described as a pirate who was also a collector of plants. Dampier was part of the crew on the first English vessel to reach the mainland of Australia in 1688, and he returned again on his own ship, the Roebuck in 1699. This print features plants and animals collected and described by Dampier as he traveled along the west coast of Australia. His own illustrations were the first published drawings of Australian plants and animals.

Each image is hand printed. Due to the hand printing and drawn details, each artwork will have small differences to the one pictured.
