This is a truly remarkable French Antique Bridal Headdress from the 1800s or possibly early 1900s. I have never seen anything quite like this before. It is one of the most detailed headdress I have ever come across, with tiny beads, finely made flowers, berries, buds, grasses and leaves and feathers. Truly a woodland, nature inspired piece. Very much like something an Elven Princess would wear.

At first I thought it was made from real grasses and other organic materials but on closer inspection I realized it was entirely made from delicate handmade fabrics and wires and beads, apart from the feathers which are real. Extremely intricate, realistic and very lovely.

I cannot find any flaws on this piece, apart from perhaps some looseness of the beaded parts. There don't appear to be any beads or anything else missing. It is quite large and I believe it is supposed to be worn in the way you see on the mannequin. It would also be worn going across the forehead if you twisted the wires together strongly at the back.

The diameter of the piece is approximately 7.4" (19 cm).

This item will be sent to you from Berlin by International Priority Air or DHL with tracking number.
