Great Vintage Condition! Pictured- Some pin pock marks on the collar (good for her!) & a couple holes on the back shoulder by the collar. Small tear on the left sleeve cuff & a small hole by the button. These only add to the authentic vintage quality.

I am assuming lightweight cotton mostly, w/ some kind of nylon for the patch, & plastic buttons.

"The WAC (Womens Army Corp) manual begins by naming the responsibility of the women:
"Your Job: To Replace Men. Be Ready To Take Over."
General Douglas MacArthur called the WACs "my best soldiers", adding that they worked harder, complained less, and were better disciplined than men." As quoted from Wikipedia. HA! Love It!!

The Womens US Army Corp was established in the early 1940s & as a branch was disbanded in 1978. This piece was issued in 1976 just 2 years before Women serving in the WACs were integrated & no longer a separate branch. Since 1978 women in the U.S. Army have served in the same units as men, although only allowed into combat situations since 1994.
