Plant fossil:
I wrapped this fern fossil with non-tarnish copper wire. This pendant comes with a card that explains a little bit about where the fossils come from. The card will be signed and dated with the date it was collected.

Fossils can help increase accomplishments in the area of business and add excellence to one’s environment. They also aid one in being open to change and new ideas. Traditionally, fossils have been used to aid in curing diseases and ailments of the skeletal system, bones, hands, and feet. Various types of fossils may also have energies related to the type of fossilized creature or plant.

These natural plant fossils are from the carboniferous era 300 million years ago, a time before dinosaurs, they are completely natural, fern fossils, fronds, leaves and bark impressions. They are some of the very first plant varieties that grew on planet Earth! This website
http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/TableOfCont.html has excellent line drawings and photos of plant species from the Carboniferous Era making it VERY easy to identify what species you have.

These fossil came from the now abandoned Bear valley strip mine (coal) in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, USA. These fossils were collected, carefully cleaned, and the surrounding stone shaped by me. Any coloring on face of the stone is completely natural and comes from minerals in the surrounding rocks.

I must stress, these are fossils formed naturally in shale. They are NOT stamped out in a factory, I DO NOT order them from ANY supply company. I go out to abandoned mine sites and collect them. They are, to my knowledge, unique and rare.

Be aware that shale is a fairly soft and porous stone. This means the surface can be scratched and it will absorb liquids (ex. perfume, lotion etc...) I LOVE these little fossils, and love to share them with the world! These fossils are the foundation that No Stone Left Unturned is built on!

Frequently asked questions about NoStoneLeftUnturned

I have no idea how to personalize something I make but if you do let me know.
For custom orders I require a non refundable deposit of half of the agreed upon price. I expect that you know exactly what you want and are able to communicate that to me (make me understand). Once a designed is agreed upon there's no going back (I won't make it over and over until you think it's right).
If you provide any supplies (stones, beads, wire etc) and don't pay the balance upon completion I keep the deposit and all supplies provided.
I try to provide a good description of size but sometimes I get excited and forget, if you have any questions about size feel free to send me a message.
Raw copper and Brass pieces...if it's very dirty (something spilled on it, dropped in mud etc) give it a scrub with an old toothbrush and dish soap be sure to dry it well before putting it away. To keep the shiny parts shiny give it a rub with a polishing cloth as needed.

Plated copper pieces...I use a high quality wire called Parawire, it's copper wire that is plated in fine silver and given an anti tarnish coating from the factory, designed to be permanent. If it gets dirty you want to wash it gently as it is plated but the coating does make it more durable, a tooth brush and dish soap will work, DO NOT polish.
