Stunning vintage bedspread featuring Mexican style embroidery in the brightest of colors on a linen fabric. This piece was lovingly made by hand from a Bucilla kit: Bucilla kits have been in existence since the 30s. The piece is stamped Bucilla on the edge.

The piece measures 96" by 78" which should fit a full to a queen. It is a single layer of a linen/muslin type fabric which is finished with a simple stitch...it makes me believe that this may have designed to be a quilt top.

This is overall in excellent condition, especially considering the age and the fact that it is completely homemade. The last photo shows one of two spots that appear to have been tied on top rather than on the underside.

I could totally see this as an Anthropologie / Urban Outfitters bed cover or even a wall tapestry or (if you are really brave) a table cloth. Any way, you will not be disappointed and not be paying the $300 plus you would pay elsewhere.

If you want to know how I made the fabulous wrought iron headboard in under an hour and less than $30, definitely convo me. You will be amazed.
