RESERVED FOR LAURA Antique textile. This is a large piece 25" X 26". The scene was printed and partially embroidered with silk (?) threads and gold and silvery metallic threads. The scene shows a cavalier type gentleman courting a lovely lady in a garden with a hound prancing before them. The perspective shows them crossing a bridge with huge flowers in the foreground. I'm not positive of the date - 18th century? I'd be delighted if anyone knows more about this. More photos at this photobucket link http://s885.photobucket.com/albums/ac58/jyarb/alo%20textile/

This was originally the center part of a much larger piece. I'll be listing the other piece plus its trim separately.

Hopefully a textile collector will fall in love with this. I'm selling it for a friend.

There is discoloration spot on the lower right and small ones in the top sky area. There is a one inch split in that area from the metallic stitching wearing through the textile.
