Arvin AM Radio iPod Ready Model 760T 1953 - 1954

What a beauty! This red and cream Arvin radio is a real eye popper! Flashy but elegant, this is sure to be a hit in any decor. Expense was not spared by Arvin on this creation, from the back light on the dial face, to the tone control and quality speaker. This Mid-Century baby plays Loud and Clear! The iPod feature blends the old with the new. There is nothing like listening to Coast to Coast on a tube AM radio. If you get tired of the talk shows, you can always plug your iPod in to the pre-wired audio cord, flip the switch, and listen to your favorite tunes.

This radio has been lovingly restored from the vintage electronics to the flashy paint. It is in excellent vintage condition. This is the perfect unique Christmas gift for yourself or that special someone!

Arvin originally started off as Noblitt-Sparks which was an automobile parts supplier in Indiana. They made a lot of car radios and also produced many of Sears Silvertone radios. In 1950 Noblitt-Sparks changed their name to Arvin.

Approximate dimensions 14" x 7" x 7".

iPod is not included.

Chassis Restoration:

To insure years of safe reliable operation…New polarized line cord, Paper and wax capacitors replaced with modern polyfilm caps; Filter capacitors replaced; RF and IF sections aligned per manufacturers specifications; volume control and tuner parts cleaned and lubricated; all tubes tested and good.

IPod Input:

This radio has an added feature – you can plug your iPod, or other mp3 player, directly into the rear mounted audio cord. Then just flick the switch to listen to radio programming or your iPod music.

The iPod interface is designed and installed in such a way to have absolute minimum impact on the vintage design of this radio set. The iPod adaptor is located inside the radio and includes an input selector switch; signal mixing; and isolation for absolute safety. From the adaptor, only a couple of wires are used to carry the iPod signal into the vintage tube audio amplifier.

You’ll love the experience of hearing your favorite music through a vintage tube amplifier!
