“I once had a sweet little doll, dears, / The prettiest doll in the world.” - Charles Kingsley

We are not doll experts; however, we strongly believe this doll head is bisque due to its texture, the fact that it is not crazing or cracking, and the whitish color inside the head. Bisque dolls were popular from approximately the 1860s through the 1920s. This particular doll has many desirable features, including functional sleep eyes, teeth, open mouth, and wig. That being said, the condition is not ideal. The wig does not seem to lay on the head quite right and the lower lip is broken. Three teeth are visible, but we assume there's a fourth in there somewhere. Based on these issues and the fact that the doll is missing its body, it has quite an eery look!

This doll head is approximately 3-1/2" tall and 2-3/4" wide. Based on its shape, the neck of this doll would have had to fit into the head, rather than the head fitting into the neck as with many dolls.

We offer combined shipping on multiple items. Also, we are happy to ship internationally! Please contact us directly for a shipping quote in either case.
