Gorgeous ultra light cerulean blue glass pearls from 1950s Japan. These beads are some of the most successful and unusual glass pearls I have ever had. They have great nacre and when held to the light, they are translucent; the opalescent glass underneath can be seen and emits a golden glow.

I am calling them pearls because that is what they look like at first sight in hand. They are not fragile and the nacre is perfect. It will never wear off because it is iridized. Being Japanese, the beads were lampworked and there is a tiny variance in size. I would also call these an ultra light clay blue.

There are about 100 beads or more on each strand. These are over sixty years and are in perfect shape.

Enjoy and Happy Beading to you!
