This bracelet is signed on back "Pat Jan 03, 82. (1882)

Victorian period bracelet inspired by the Royal Order of the Garter. Queen Victoria was too modest to wear the required blue garter on her knee. She wore hers on her arm, launching the style of the garter bracelet.

The mesh band is 1/2' wide. The slide makes it adjustable for proper fitting.

The foxtail tassel chain has a few lost or broken ball endings. This really does not distract from the beauty of this magnificent peice.

The amethyst stones are a beautiful shade, resembles a ruby. The filigree design is perfect.
