This is a cast iron ice tong from the 1930's. This would look great as a decor piece in your cabin or home.

Nowadays your refrigerator makes your ice, but originally if you wanted ice, you went out to a lake in winter and cut huge pieces of ice with a giant saw. Then you cut them into smaller pieces which could be grabbed with an ice tong like this, and packed them in small shed filled with sawdust and straw to keep the ice as long as possible.

Sounds like fun right?

Measures 18' inches tall by 9' inches wide when closed. Fully extended it is 22.5' inches wide.
