This postcard would be perfect to add to your collection, as decoration, to send to someone, scrapbooking and other art projects.

The card is in very good condition with with wear, mostly on the top right corner and the bottom left. The card was not stamped or postmarked. Someone wrote in ink 'J Goodman 8/24' on the back in the address section. The card is published by Manhattan Postcard Co., New York City. I can't find an exact date for the card, but I'm pretty confident it's from the 1930s-1940s.

Printed on the back of the card is:
'BROOKLYN SUBWAY. This is an extension of the Interborough System, connecting with the Brooklyn Subway. Two cast iron tubes 6,784 feet long, with an inside diameter of 15 feet, 6 inches. Lowest point reach by tunnel is 94 feet below the river bed. Open for traffic Jan. 9, 1908. Cost, $10,000,000.'

I grew up in Brooklyn, how I miss it!!!

I started collecting vintage postcards and stamps a couple of years ago. I hope you love them as much as I do! My cards and stamps can be used for collecting, sending, scrapbooking, making jewelry, book covers, paintings and many other different types of art projects.

Each order comes with a bonus random card or stamp from my collection.
