The original Cristo Redentor is located atop Corcovado mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park overlooking the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is considered the largest Art Deco statue in the world and the 5th largest statue of Jesus in the world. This is a replica of the statue, and it has been handcarved of Brazilian mahogany. It's arms have been carved separately and glued into the main body. It has 'RIO' carved into the base, and felt on the bottom. It is nicely done and dates from the 1960's.
This measures 9 1/2 inches high by 8 inches wide at the arms and the base is 1 3/4 inches by 2 1/2 inches.
The condition is excellent. No damage or breaks, no repairs, chips, stains or odors. It is heavy.
