This is a guitar amp that uses your headphones as the speaker and enclosure. This is the perfect guitar amp for college students, roommates, fathers or mothers, or anyone who wants to play guitar late into the night.

Uses a 9V battery (not included).
A gain knob that also functions as the volume.
The output is mono, but uses both speakers of your headphones.
The input and output jacks are stereo 1/4" Switchcraft jacks.
The power is turned on when you insert your guitar plug. Power is turned off when you unplug your guitar.
You should expect to get about 120 hours of continuous play out of a typical 9 volt battery.
(Headphones are not included. You may need a separate 1/8" to 1/4" (stereo-stereo) adapter when using headphones with an 1/8" plug.)

With the exception of the mint tins, these are cookie-cutter items. The only difference is the tin. The photo may be slightly different than the actual amp that you receive. Rest assured that they will all function the same.

If you want to hear a sample of this amp put this address in your web browser. It is WMA format: http://tech-tut.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/LM741-Headphone-Amplifier-Demo-tech-tut.wma

Here's a video of what it takes to put one amp together.

If you have any questions please feel free to shoot me a line. I support everything I sell.
Photos show the latest revision. Cans can show normal pocket/purse wear. Over time, the jacks will cause the metal to have dents in them. This is normal and okay. It's a tight space inside the mint tin. To the best of my ability, cans will not have deep scratches on them. Since they were mint tins before their rebirth, they will show signs of use.

Each amp is personally tested working at time of assembly. I do a 100% quality and function check after each assembly. Every amp is tested with a function generator and 8ohm headphones headphones to ensure that the electronics work and that they are wired correctly. I pride myself on quality, and will support any questions even after you receive your amp. I also have schematics and wiring diagrams available on my website should you want to modify or repair it.

How to use:
Connect a 9V battery.
Insert guitar cord into jack closest to the hinge. (This turns amp on.)
Insert stereo headphones into jack opposite of the hinges. (Must be stereo plug or no output!)
Turn knob to gain/volume preferred. Low volume = no distortion. High volume = max distortion.
