A Rabbit Meditation painting for Year of the Rabbit for Chinese New Year Zodiac - Chinese New Years Original, hand painted sumi-e ink and watercolor painting in a scroll like format. Sweet!

You will receive a unique and original sumi ink paintings 4" x 9" inches (10 x 23 cm ) with red seal (my signature) on 120 lb. watercolor paper.

2023 is a year of the Water Rabbit, starting from January 22nd, 2023 (Chinese New Year), and ending on February 9th, 2024.

The rabbit is the fourth symbol in the Japanese Zodiac. In ancient China, white rabbits were considered as a propitious augury. As rabbits live peacefully in groups, this symbol represents “well-being of a family”. It also represents “great progress in business” because of the way they leap forward.

Zen Rabbit Note: there is the Japanese story of the rabbit in the moon. A rabbit in a forest came across Buddha who was starving. The rabbit offered itself up as food for the man, throwing itself in the fire to cook. As a reward for this selflessness, the rabbit was given immortality on the moon.

6 x 9 inch paintings fit well in 10 x 13 frame with matting
12 x 12 inch paintings fit in a "album" cover frame perfectly.
In case my wild brushstrokes come close to the edge of the paper, you could "float" art with the matting opening larger than the artwork.
Traditional scroll mounting is also available, contact me for details.

I pack and ship via USPS within a day or so to get your artwork to you quickly. I am not responsible for loss by the USPS. I will try and resolve the issue with you, but cannot replace loss by the carrier.
