Edwardian Gold Gilt Amethyst Glass Pendant Fob Double Sided

Gorgeous double sided Edwardian pendant, or fob, has two beautiful amethyst glass ovals as focal points. With trefoil decorations at top and bottom, the whole is a graceful arrangement of curves and scrolls. The faceted amethyst glass has a lot of light reflection because each has an open back, and reflects through the other.

The metal is gold gilt over brass or some other base metal (untested). It is accompanied by two jump rings which appear to be gold (untested). It is in very good vintage condition with one condition issue. One of the glass pieces has a chip at the bottom. As a consequence, the surrounding bezel was pressed in a bit in order to secure the stone. It worked, and the flaw is generally not noticeable. Of course, this would be the side I would face to the back. There are a few open areas (small slits) along the seam. Its appearance overall is refined and elegant. It would look lovely on a fine chain, or a slender black grosgrain ribbon. C. 1910’s, unmarked.

This item will be presented in a tarnish resistant pouch and gift boxed.

SIZE: 1-1/2”L x 1-1/16”W
