Syracuse China - Roxbury KCS Railroad Open Stock Plates, Set of 7

The Syracuse China Roxbury pattern is known as the Kansas City Southern Railroad China. Although Roxbury Red was open stock china, which may have been used in restaurants or hotels, it is most famous for being used in the dining cars of the KCS Railroad.

Four of these hearty plates measure 9 1/2 inches in diameter with the Econo Rim backstamp with date codes of 1954, 1955 (x2), and 1957. Three plates measure 9 inches across with the Syracuse China backstamp, and each plate is marked with the manufacture date of 1976.

All of the plates are in Very Rugged condition, which contests to their durability. The price of this set is reflective of their condition.
