This is truly a lovely little primitive - a completely handcrafted heavy tin round lidded box with a hinge. It has its original dark reddish brown paint that has crackled over the years. Nice and smoothly worn to the touch, it was used often, as Great Grandmother kept her buttons inside, for mending. The lid fits so perfectly, and opens by using the shaped piece on the edging of the lid. Inside you will see the original tin solder and the tin coloring.

It measures 4 3/4 inches in diameter by 2 3/4 inches high. This is heavy, not lightweight.

Condition is worn, primitive and crackled. That is the outside. The inside is clean, odor-free, little or no rust at all, and no dents, damage or breaks.
