An exquisite fossil fern, Neuropteris sp., is available here that was collected from the Carboniferous coal measures of the UK. This fossil is dated 300 to 310 million years old. The specimen is beautifully preserved in a mudstone and fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. For any plant enthusiast this would be an ideal specimen for your fossil collection. Some of the original cuticle is missing, but the impressions of the venation are still present in the fine mud. Dimensions: 60mm x 33mm x 12mm.
