This set of painted chalk bookends is from the 1950s or 1960s. I could find no information on the company except they made the old atomic double shade lamps. This pair of bookends is definitely mid-century is style. They are made of plaster or a chalk like composite. The condition is very good and there are no chips, and very minimal surface wear. The painted surface is good with a little bit of dustiness. The black surface scuff in the photo came off easily with just a rub from a damp cloth. The undersides are covered with green felt and the back of the sculptures are marked "Sculptureline". These pieces are 6 1/2" high by 4" wide and 3 1/2" deep. They weigh just under 3 pounds each, so shipping weight is over 6 pounds. The two bookends have abstract depictions of the visual and performing arts. These bookends will be shipped flat rate Prioriy mail within the USA only.
