Always beautiful in any depiction , this vintage print of Dattatreya is from the 1950s. Its muted colors have a lot of tans, peach, apricot, and deep greens. One of the oldest deities
encompassing the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva shows the symbols associated with concept in Hinduism. The four dogs of color representing Vedas can be seen upfront . They are linked with the glory of warriors both wild and tame they are symbols of fidelity and devotion.

The original silver frame is aged in all the right places. Its velvet stand is strong and has a ring on the back to hang from as well. I've moved and have more space and larger walls to decorate with. I'm passing along some of my favorite smalls and investing larger pieces.

This one measures 8 x 6 and is filled with excellent karma !!
